As a qathet Division member, you have an opportunity to help shape primary care in Powell River and qathet. Whether you have five minutes or a standing commitment to give, there's a place for you.

The roadmap below lays out the ways to get involved, from staying in the loop to helping steer the work. It all points toward the same goal of improving the professional experience of family physicians and strengthening patient care across qathet.

You'll also find our policies and bylaws further down the page, so you can see how the Division is governed and where your voice fits in.

Member Engagement Roadmap

Level 1: Awareness

Description:

Members know the Division exist and understand its purpose.

Opportunities:

  • Read monthly newsletters
  • Subscribe to qDoFP social media
  • Visit qDoFP website
  • Lunch & Learn with a qDoFP staff

Level 2: Participation

Description:

Members participate actively in Division activities.

Opportunities:

  • Participate in local CME events
  • Attend the annual General Meeting
  • Join social events
  • Contribute to the annual member survey

Level 3: Contribution

Description:

Members invest their time and expertise to shape programs and initiatives.

Opportunities:

  • Recommend a new project or initiative to improve local primary care
  • Join an established committee or working group
  • Attend a board meeting

Level 4: Leadership and Advocacy

Description:

Members act as champions, influencing local, regional, or provincial health system priorities.

Opportunities:

  • Become a Board Member
  • Represent qDoFP at local, regional, and provincial meetings
  • Champion member-led initiatives and advocacy
