Several of these local projects have been recognized at the provincial level and serve as a guide for other Divisions across British Columbia. Many have also become long-term supports for the community and family physicians.

Purpose: To attract new physicians to practice in qathet and maintain a stable community of physicians through locum support, social opportunities and career transitions.

Purpose: To increase access to coordinated, comprehensive, and equity-based primary care by adding new interdisciplinary clinicians to family physician and nurse practitioner clinic teams.

Purpose: To strengthen collegial connections and shared learning among local care providers through interactive, locally relevant education that reflects community needs and realities.

Purpose: To help medical clinics dispose of sharps by offering a free annual disposal service.

Purpose: To develop a program for unassigned inpatient care and facilitate a seamless transition to a hospitalist program.

Purpose: To collaborate on identifying and implementing quality improvement and learning activities involving family physicians acting as Most Responsible Person (MRP) in Long Term Care (LTC) facilities.

Purpose: To ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness of programs, resources, and service listings for local organizations, and increase awareness of services with Division members and the community.

Purpose: To connect family physicians with DTO and PSP resources to optimize EMRs, streamline workflows, reduce administrative burden, and strengthen team-based care.

Purpose: To inform long-term primary care planning by assessing current and future clinical space needs and identifying opportunities to support sustainable, team-based care in qathet.

Purpose: To gain insight into primary care access beyond availability. By analyzing data from multiple sources, including local healthcare providers and community surveys, the study aims to identify barriers to care.
